New Sewer Line
My itty-bitty road has been off limits for a week now. It will be another week or so till the new asphalt is laid and my road usable.
Once I was away on vacation and came home to a stopped up sink... That's when I knew this was the cities (sewer line) problem and not mine (from house to road). However the city passed over any concern when I apprised them on this new (to me) knowledge.
A few months back my neighbor had her whole drive torn out to fix pipes that were perfectly fine, it must have cost thousands, then she passed away. A couple of months after her passing, the city is on top of this. I wonder if she presented them with her bill?

Carpet Removed Exposing Rotted Deck Boards
I've sanded and painted boards that could be saved. Boards not painted must be pulled and replaced. The boards coming out from under the room addition at the sliding glass door opening, need to be filled in with wood putty, sanded and painted, then camouflaged with the door mat, or cut out all together which I'm not sure about doing myself. Even the "pro" who did this to begin with cut into the good board as seen in the picture...
This deck extended across the front of my manufactured home, a room addition at some time was built atop the deck, with floor to ceiling windows, skylights, large window on one side and a sliding glass door on the opposite side, making the additional room somewhat like a solarium.
